Sumner Hill's Ninth Annual Reality Fair is February 11 and 12th Our purpose of the fair is to allow our students to realize the connection between high school performance, career potential, and lifestyle expectations. Businesses participating are:

 The Sumner Hill Beauty and Beau Pageant will be held on Saturday, February 6th at 7 pm in the auditorium.  Tickets will be sold in the front office beginning on Wednesday, February 3rd for $5.  Tickets will also be sold at the door the night of the pageant.

Experience an Evening of Dessert Tasting, Silent Auction, and the Ambassadors 2016 Competition Show!



Tickets may be purchased from any Ambassador member or at the the door on the evening of the event. $6.00 per ticket.

Below is a survey for all students to complete at Sumner Hill Jr. High School for instructors who have taught you in the fall of 2015. You will be offering constructive feedback to your teachers which will be confidential. Your feedback will remain anonymous. The purpose is to give teachers insight into their classroom practice with the aim of course improvement. Sumner Hill Junior High is proud to sponsor its 3rd Annual Fleece Blanket Christmas Giveaway! Fleece blankets will be donated to the residents of the Clinton Health Care Retirement Home, and we are asking all students to donate at least one fleece blanket.
Mrs. Boone, in room E2 will be accepting donations every day until December16th.  Thanks in advance for your support.
Our 2015 Christmas Choral Concert will be on Tuesday, December 8th at 7.00 p.m. in the Sumner Hill auditorium

Congratulations to the Sumner Hill Concert Choir on a job well done at the Riverland Choral Festival at Pearl High School this past weekend.  Three out of the four choirs received a Superior rating from the judges.  The Girl's choir 1, Girl's choir 2 and the Boys choir received Superior while the Mixed choir received an Excellent.
We look forward to watching this group continue to grow in their musical ability with anticipation of their continued success this year.

Meal Prices
Effective this fall, meal prices will increase slightly in CPSD cafeterias. The increase is necessary to keep us in line with federal guidelines.

* Student lunch - increase from $2.50 to $2.65  

* Student breakfast - increase from $1.75 to $1.90  

* Adult/teacher lunch - increase from $3.25 to $3.40 

* Adult/teacher breakfast - increase from $2 to $2.15

Parents: Please make plans to attend our Parent Night/Open House
Parent Night will be Thursday, September 10, from 5:00 to 6:00 in our school’s auditorium.  This is the same date as Sumner Hill’s Open House, which starts at 6:00. Get2College will speak to our parents regarding high school and college requirements, scholarships and the free services they provide for high school students.  Please do not miss out on this great opportunity to learn about how your child can get the most out of their high school experience.
